Details

Petalite is a lithium aluminium phyllosilicate, also known as castorite. Wikipedia says it forms tabular crystals and columnar masses in lithium-bearing pegmatites, that it serves as a major ore of lithium, and that the element lithium was first identified from it in Sweden in 1817. Hall describes it as rare and expensive, quartz-like and striated, usually small, and gives Brazil and Madagascar as sources. Hall says it also goes by the name Angel Stone, and associates it with cosmic consciousness, spiritual purification and meditation. He calls it a protective and shamanic stone that grounds a person during spiritual activity, and says that even a small piece is potent as an elixir for letting go of negative karma and clearing entities from the aura. He also credits it with working on the endocrine system. These are the claims of that author.
