Mineral Name
Pectolite var. larimar
Needs Review

Details

Wikipedia calls larimar a trade name for a rare blue variety of the silicate mineral pectolite, and gives its colour as shades of blue and blue-green. Hall gives blue, blue-green, grey or red, with white, and describes a translucent, smooth stone with whorls of colour or white veins, often small to medium and tumbled. Hall also records the names Dolphin Stone and Blue Pectolite. Hall associates larimar with radiating love and peace, a deeply meditative state, clarity and creativity, and calls it an earth-healing stone. Hall also says it suits those looking for a soulmate and helps with guilt. Cunningham has no entry for larimar, so Hall is the only magical source here.
