Details

Holarrhena pubescens, called the fever pod, kurchi bark, Tellicherry bark or conessi, is a species of flowering plant in the family Apocynaceae. It is native to central and southern Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Indochina and parts of China. The page notes that it is sometimes confused with Wrightia antidysenterica, because of a second, taxonomically invalid publication of the name Holarrhena pubescens. In Cambodia it is called by names meaning big tiger milk and invulnerable kite. The seeds are sold as indraja for Ayurvedic medicine in India. The taxobox on the page gives its conservation status as Least Concern. The page gives no information on the plant's hazards, so none is recorded here, and the entry rests on the page's short lead alone. The bark and the seeds are the parts the page names by trade name.
