Cinnabar
Details
Cinnabar is mercury(II) sulfide, scarlet to brick-red, and the main ore of mercury. It is also the source of the pigment vermilion. Wikipedia lists its colours as red to brownish red and lead-grey, and gives the alternative names cinnabarite and mercurblende. Hall also knows it as dragon's blood, describes it as a small crystalline or granular lump sitting on a matrix, and gives China and the United States as sources. Hall says it attracts abundance, helps business and finance, brings fluency of mind and speech, and recommends keeping a piece in a cash box. She also associates it with purifying the blood and with fertility. These are Hall's claims, not established fact. Wikipedia warns that the mercury in cinnabar can make it harmful to people.
Caution
Wikipedia states that cinnabar contains mercury and can be toxic to people.
